dtic Support For Export Marketing; IP Protection in Export Markets

At 3.00pm we welcome back Pumzo Tshitshwa from the dtic's EMIA programme offering support to individual companies for Exhibition Participation, Primary Market Research, and IP Protection in export markets. Pumzo will present on the key features of the incentive, who is eligible, what the benefits are for SMMEs and larger companies, and how to apply. Following a short overview of important exhibitions in mining markets, we will have opportunity for Q&A.

At 3.50pm, Louw Steyn, expert IP consultant to the mechanical and engineering industries at Spoor and Fisher, will present on IP protection in export markets, and key IP considerations when exporting original equipment.

In this session, he will focus on export markets other than Africa. His presentation will be followed by an opportunity for Q&A and discussion.
