Event Details

We are pleased to let you know that the dtic will be hosting an informative webinar focused on Unpacking The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreements, with a focus on opportunities and challenges for the SA Steel Sector. You are cordially invited to attend this insightful event, taking place on July 9, 2024.

The presentation will be offered by Ms Claudia Furriel, Director of African Union and Africa Multilateral Economic Relations at the dtic. Based on her position close to all work around the AfCFTA, this is a unique opportunity.

Two recent presentations by Ms Furriel are linked below, and members are welcome to educate themselves from these. Some of the content was already covered by the MEMSA GGDA webinar on the AfCFTA earlier this year.

New elements will include a look at South Africa's tariff offer, and Rules of Origin as applicable to the Steel Sector.

If you would like to hear directly from Ms furiel, please RSVP for the event, at the link below.
